The name "Tetu" is a French word meaning Obstinate, Stubborn, or Hard-Headed. The "e" in Tetu actually has an accent circumlex (little roof) over it, but I have not yet figured out how to display that with my software.

Tetu is a heavy displacement custom steel trawler. She has a very distinctive appearance, because the hull is constructed of Corten steel using a lapstrake method (all seams are welded inside and out) - many people initially think that the hull is made of wood. The styling resembles sea-going commercial craft, and the vessel's equipment and systems are suited for long-range cruising.
